Winona-Ryder

Winona Ryder, professionally Winona Ryder, was born on Winona Minnesota. The parents named her Winona for her hometown. Michel Horowitz is her father and Cynthia Palmer is her mother. Ryder is a self-described Jewish and descends from Ryder's Jewish father. Uria is Ryder's younger sister. Jubal, Sunyata and Sunyata are Ryder's half-siblings. Ryder and her family relocated to California's Mendocino County, when Ryder was just seven. The town didn't even have electricity. Ryder was an avid read and often spent her time reading books because there was no television. Ryder began taking acting lessons in the American Conservatory Theatre in 1983 aged 12 years old. Lucas was dismissed in the year 1986 and Ryder, then barely 15 years old, landed the role of a leading actor. Ryder was bullied in high school. Ryder hoped her career in acting would end this. However, that didn't happen. But she pushed on with her dream. Her biggest break was in 1988 when she appeared in Tim Burton's Beetlejuice. Ryder continued to be successful in her parts in a variety of films. Ryder was nominated twice for Academy Awards one for her part as a character in The Age of Innocence (1993).
