Jeanie Marie Buss has been an American entrepreneur for over twenty years. She is the owner of control of the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association and currently acts as the association's president. Buss, a Californian native has an affluent background. Jerry Buss was her father. Jerry Buss started out as a realty tycoon, and then later owned the Lakers. When her parents broke up in 1972 she felt that they'd left her. At the age of 19 she inherited management of the Los Angeles Strings professional Tennis team as the General Manager. After that, she established an organization called the Los Angeles Blades team of professional roller hockey. She also served as president of the Great Western Forum before assuming the role of vice president for the Lakers. Buss' father died in 2013, and the Lakers were passed down by Buss and her five siblings via the trust. Every sibling was entitled to an equal number of votes. Buss assumed the role of the president of the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss has also been a part-owner of Women of Wrestling (a Los Angeles-based pro-wrestling association).
